Sticks and Stones

Saturday Morning, and I'm listening to music before heading out for a big day. Here's some gems I've found in the past few days.

Dub FX is an amazing loop / beat artist who performs in streets. No idea why he isn't famous yet.. You can check out his website too.

One of my favorite songs by canadian band Sam Roberts. If you haven't heard of them, you're missing out on one of the best modern rock bands out there.

Pearl Jam, making us hate ourselves:

Dotjr is a young musician from... Scotland I believe? Anyways, this is one of my favorite songs. Check out his MySpace.

See you next time,

Mario and more

HELLO PEOPLE,

soooo, here's my second post. I think I'm going to have a standard format for my posts: four videos of different genres. So, here you go:

This song / video is massively popular on Youtube. This is likely due to the fact it is genius. You can check out 'blinktwice4y''s channel on Youtube for more music.

This is Buckethead playing the Power Rangers Theme Song. I don't that needs any further explanation.

The Flaming Lips are one of my favorite bands these days. They're music is very experimental, but there are some great songs that pop up on all of their albums. Here is a personal favorite:

Finally, rock music at its finest:

That's all for today. Enjoy the music and go check anything that you like.

In the beggining...

Hello all,

My name is Nico Tobias and I am more or less an over the top music enthusiast. As someone who spends an enormous amount of time on the internet listening to music, I have decided it is time to start sharing the amazing music I find with as many people as possible. If you like what I'm doing and want to suggest something for the blog, you can e-mail me at nicotobiaspeek@gmail.com

This is also my grand entrance in to the "blogosphere". Be afraid, be very afraid.

Anyways, enough of the sappy introductions. Let's kick start this with some links:

Aloe Blacc is an R&B artist who emerged a while ago. If you like him, you can check out his myspace here. This is a cover of MJ's classic:

The Whitest Boy Alive is a mindblowingly sweet band from Germany. Lead by Erland Oye, they have two records out all ready. Check out their myspace here.

That's all for now. I hope you like my blog.
